Mathematical interests
- Differential equations — particularly stochastic and deterministic equations and their applications to real-world mathematical models.
- Financial modelling — using mathematical methods to describe and analyse problems arising in financial and economic settings.
- Complex analysis — with a particular interest in univalent functions, conformal mappings, and approximation theory.
- Probability and statistics — both as theoretical subjects and as practical tools for analysing data and quantifying uncertainty.
- Applied and computational mathematics — exploring connections between different areas of mathematics and applying theoretical ideas to practical problems.
Projects
- Gathering data on arbitrage trades in virtual items
- Market making for virtual items
- Developing this website
Hobbies
Outside of mathematics, I enjoy following and learning about equity and bond markets as well as financial derivatives. I also have a strong passion for cars and enjoy home renovation projects as a contrast to the theoretical nature of my work.
